About House of Hope Ministries

We always get asked, How did House of Hope get started?

House of Hope was named by Earlene. (Pictured at the top working with Al on making a brick wall.) In the 20 years we've been doing short term missions, God has allowed us to work for him in many ways. During that time our faith has been stretched. He has given us a greater understanding of His principles. Earlene was asked why we do missions? She gave a simple answer, packed with a lot of truth, Jesus said "Go" so we went. We are high school graduates with God's simple calling. This has changed our goals in life, impacted our lives and given us a totally different value system. I don't remember any specific date when we began leading others in this mission effort around the world it has just evolved over the years. Our boss, Jesus Christ, gave us a wonderful and challenging revelation, "if you don't see the need then you can't be responsible but once He shows us where we can help we can't close our eyes and just ignore it". So as we feel His direction, he has opened the doors for accomplishing His work. We learn to trust his words that say, "not by might nor by power but by My Spirit, says the Lord". It is by His Spirit we move and breathe working to fulfil His will for our lives.

House of Hope Ministries, Inc. is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to fulfilling the "Great Commission" found in Matthew 28:19. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and it is with His command that we "go forth" to where He opens the doors.
